David M. Smith, CPA - Tax Accounting Associate

David joined our firm in December of 2024. He brings over forty years of accounting and tax experience assisting small businesses and high net worth individuals with attestation services, tax compliance, mergers and acquisitions and representation with various taxing authorities. In addition, his past experience includes a member of the adjunct faculty at the University of San Diego.

David received his undergraduate degree in Business with a major in accounting from Emporia State University, Emporia Kansas, an MBA from Regis University, Denver Colorado and a Master’s in Taxation from Golden Gate University, San Francisco California. David is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

He and his wife enjoy traveling throughout Tennessee, especially the Nashville and Chattanooga areas. They share their home with a three-year-old border collie mix, Roxie.
